It is a shared collective of the past.

   The endless measures of those ,that have continued breaking down racial barriers. Courageously, it is what was envisioned. A hopeful venture long ago , by the enslaved who have fought diligently. A undeniable force to implement change. Making inclusion and diversity more prevalent today. Their notable navigation has outlined each of our paths. Leaving their light to constantly lift us. Pulling us deeply into a empowered view!!

Prestigious Era

   Why do you feel preserving history is important to you? The infamous Middle Passage, the arduous journey of those enslaved. A voyage that created much of our cultural inheritance today. Embarked in a new environment. There was still  vibrancy and a dynamic presence. That can be felt throughout the world. Even through a detrimental period in time.The sacred rhythm of dance, and cultural life was pervasive. Even in such horrific settings. The development of something new ,from material resources was established.  Where contemporary forms ,and vernacular dances began to  derive.


    Perilously, never suppressing their sensibility to continue. Enslaved craftsmen laid foundations of African American visual arts. Designing utilitarian objects filled with visual expression. Leaving their traces through many aspects; such as cuisine we indulge today. Which has molded and provided us, with mortality to transform our lives. Even in times of divide.We are consumed with the example, of empowering might. Bestowing upon us the zest to steadily transcend. Prevailing us to remove the ceiling of doubt. Urging us to have a fervent view!!

  What makes you feel most innovative? History is filled with many unsung, heroic African American figures. The evolvement of inventors is noteworthy. Whose products we use daily. A massive contribution towards the necessities , of our lives. These inventors to name a few, Mark E. Dean (IBM personal computer), Joseph N. Jackson (Remote), and Shirley Ann Jackson (Theoretical physicist) transformed our society. The brilliance in their many creations. Will forever reign of unprecedented magnitude.

   The incredible plights, considering the many barriers to patent; as well as denial of educational opportunities. Have proceeded in helping to modernize the world around us . We can all know that with certainty. We can also forge change. Amid any societal matter. Honoring those who rose during systemic racial divide. Impacting us culturally in various ways. Contributing to the fields of medicine, agriculture, science, and technology. Their ingenuity has left its imprint on American, and World history. Showing us that with forethought. It is possible to behold a merited view!!

 What is the importance of this month to you?     The context of this time during the year ,has greater meaning to history. Having had enormous societal, and influential contributions, that are presently current. Defining pop culture ,and cultivating many genres of music today. The African American collective has had an unprecedented impact culturally. Black History Month is an introspective moment. A remembrance of a people ,that gifted society with so much.

   The vibrancy of this Month still surges ,to achieve equal rights to all people. With hopes of better understanding each other. Creating a pathway of togetherness. A month to highlight the different dimensions ,of those who have. Celebrating and preserving the history, and triumphs.
Taking a deeper look into the strong will, of those who revolutionized paths. Spearheading so many towards a groundbreaking view!!
