Big Bully

 Each day many children are afraid to go to school, or even outside because they are bullied. There is absolutely no resolve to this growing epidemic. Our youth are taking their lives because their parents often times cant afford name brands , or to keep them in the hottest trends. When will people take a stand on the issue, it needs to stop.

The rate of youth taking their lives has increased because of many things not under their control.  I'm a mother and i talk to my kids often.  Many kids don't open up about any issues they face in fear of ridicule or judgment. Take a few minutes just to listen, it could potentially save their life. You don't have to be a parent to take a second to speak to any youth in your family, or friends kids. Whats Your Mood?



Has there been a time in your life where you cant understand your sadness? The other day a topic  between a friend of mine came up about depression. Many people suffer in silence because they don't think there is hope. Well there is hope i overcame depression and you can too. No one has to feel alone, even when there seems like there is no one to turn to. Here are some helpful tips to shake off the heavy burdens and awaken your inner happiness.

1. Meditation and prayer- Each day take a few minutes out of your day to be alone with your thoughts. Focus on self and relax during this time. Allow yourself time to have a personal conversation with your higher being. If your a beginner you can start with five minutes and half lotus; and eventually work your way up. If you’re  not familiar with meditation there are many Vlogs and videos online you can search or view.

2.  Call up a friend or family member you can vent to.  One that will listen and give you a cheerful conversation. That always seems to pull me out of a sad mood.

3. Laughter is always the best medicine- Look at funny videos, search funny jokes or watch a funny movie. A really good laugh will cure almost any somber moment, and critical thoughts. Talk to a friend that you know is gonna give you that laugh you need.

4. Find a hobby or fun activity- Surround yourself around people that share the same interest as you do. If you have children join a play date group. Get involved in groups or go out and have you a dance. Live life and be carefree.

5. Listen to music- Music has a way of rejuvenating the mind and body, cleansing the spirit. It makes you feel good. You can go into your own world and enjoy.


The tips provided may not work for everyone but it has been a form of therapy for me. Everyone has a different level of sadness. You too can overcome depression just like i did. Turn that negative energy into something positive in your life. Try it and see if it works for you. You may begin to see a difference in your mental health. The Leap



Have you ever wondered what exactly is your purpose or niche? Well i started off wanting to help others. I never really gained a sense of self until recently. I was told by a Professor of mine that i should become a writer. Me a writer? She couldn't be serious right. Apparently, a paper that i had written for a English writing course had her taken aback. I always joked around and said i wanted to write a book some day. Well that's coming soon one day. She inspired me ( i wont mention her name) that there is so much power in words. I always felt judged by others, but i realize now that my life isn't about other people. When it is your time to leap into yourself and exit out of ridicule and, self regret you find your sense of purpose.

I started blogging recently and didn't think twice about doing something i enjoy. You just have to find your niche. What you want to do with your life. Ultimately, it will be one of the biggest decisions that you make for yourself. We all have a platform, its up to you to decide which way you want to use it. Never be afraid of failure or an inability to go through with a plan. There will always be a critic, who cares about that. There wont be much to laugh about once your depositing checks. Better yet signing them for employees. We all have potential to be great turn a hobby into a hustle, turn a job into a career. Continue to learn and grow and most importantly support your own dream. Toxic Relationship Blues

There has been a current battle on social media between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna. A scandal like this makes you wonder when does a relationship like that become toxic? You should never have to walk on egg shells in a relationship. Here are five signs that you need to run full speed ahead out of the relationship blues.

1. Way to jealous-
We all have had that partner that gives you the eye when you might engage in a conversation with the opposite sex for to long. At first you think aw he/she may be jealous. When they become increasingly overbearing and downright possessive. It is time get out as soon as you can.

2. Bad mouths you constantly-
No one should endure being talked down to. Your a human and you deserve respect. If everything you do is a insult. Remove yourself from the situation before it is too late.

3. You never met the friends and family-
He simply isn't invested into the relationship. He/She doesn't want to seem off the market to other people. They have no intentions of making you feel significant.

4. Abuse- The first sign of f abuse is stripping you from your support system. Abuse of any kind is not good and you need to get out. There are people that do change, but if they do it once they will do it again. Never settle just to feel loved.. There are support groups, family, and friends for that. Find someone you trust to confide in.

5. A constant cheater-
This speaks for itself. If they constantly cheat lie and break your heart. Let them go! There is no time to keep letting someone get away with this. Everyone wants to have a happy healthy relationship. There is only so much anyone can take and everything expires eventually.

Don't take these warning signs for granted. If everyday you wake up with relationship blues. Go be happy and get rid of any thing that is toxic to your overall well being. Mask off? Mask on?







Do you ever gaze at yourself in the mirror and see a pimple? The most simple imperfection makes us feel like we are a character in the "Shrek Movie". Have no fear, hear are a few tips to continue to have your "Mask Off" as "Future "would say.

1. Start a facial regimen daily: Drink lots of water! Hydration is key to healthy skin. Find you a non evasive scrub for your face. Use your products faithfully. Whether it's over the counter, or dermatologist prescribed, use as directed.

2. Eat Healthy: Fruits and Vegetables are loaded with nutrients that are good for the skin and body.  Cut back on caffeinated and carbonated drinks; it's loaded with sugars. Drink plenty of water it works.

3. Diet and Exercise: When I begin I couldn't last ten minutes. Now I'm able to go for a hour and a half in the gym. With motivation and drive it's possible to achieve results.

 4. Lifestyle Changes: Quit smoking and too much alcohol consumption. Little steps such as these will increase your life expectancy.

No matter what you do it's always Mind over Matter! Don't be afraid to make a step to being a more beautiful you.

Do you ever wonder how people view your style? Well, I personally never gave a "hoot"! Until recently, when I decided to change my hair color. The positive feedback that came with the change; made me think about the question stated above. Here are four tips when deciding to change your style.

1. Be you: Never be afraid to express your own personality. Whether it be a conservative style with jeans and a crew neck; or "Beyoncé Lemonade Bohemian Chic".

 2. Find a color:  I don't mean just a hair color. I mean a color that makes you come alive. Let it be vibrant, something even different for you.

 3. Stand out: Embrace what is unique about yourself and let the world see you. Grace them with a grungy fringe or a leather bomber jacket. Choose a style that makes you different from the rest.

 4. Execute your look: Style isn't about what's necessarily trending. Style is about executing your look with confidence. Be you,stand out, find your color and show up and show off!
